The Midwest Unity Squad was founded by Brother Nakquet (Nicky Boxx) Robinson. Originally created to be a space for members of multiple chapters to come together and perform in unison at the annual showcase titled "Unity Show", hosted by the Tantalizing Theta Chapter of Delta Phi Delta Dance Fraternity, Inc.
'The Unity Show' was created and introduced to the entire oganization by Brother Derrell Brown. For over 11 consecutive years, Unity Show served as an initiative to bring the Dekalb (NIU) dance community together and has since grown into one of the most largely anticipated events each year.
Since it's development, the Unity Squad has evolved to the performative division & dance representation for the entire organization, servicing the midwest region and soon to be beyond. Between performance bookings such as Prelude, MVMNT Showcase, and privately directed concept videos... Unity Squad is on it's way to being the one of the impactful dance resources Delta Phi Delta has experienced!
